Cylinder Heads

VW Bora V5 Cylinder Head reconditioned following
a traffic accident that caused the timing to slip and several
valves were bent. Note the complex camshaft advance and retard
mechanisms. Total cleanliness is essential when assembling this
type of cylinder head.

Audi/VW Cylinder
Head as fitted to the AWT VW turbo charged engine. The 5 valves
per cylinder design is more common in motor cycles, but it has
now appeared in a passenger car.
The head is being modified to take larger
camshaft buckets to provide a larger contact diameter for the
very large lift camshaft. The engine is heading for a 900 BHP
development. This level of precision machining is normal for
CNC milling.
